Volvo Cars, the world-renowned Scandinavian car brand, announced that it had won more than 130 international awards during 2015 and 2016 for the sophisticated new look of the Volvo range and its world-leading innovation and engineering excellence.
The new Volvo XC90 in particular proved to be a strong competitor in the global automotive market when the car model bagged a staggering 67 accolades in 2015 and 55 accolades in 2016.
Volvo Cars Sri Lanka, an IWS Holdings company, which is the new authorised importer and dealer of Volvo Cars in Sri Lanka, will introduce the award-winning XC90 to the Sri Lankan market, along with a line of other stylish new Volvo models including the V40, S60 and XC60 by August this year.
Volvo has received immense global recognition and accolades from over 24 countries in the past two years including Germany, the US, Sweden, Singapore, China, Canada, Australia, South Africa, India, Finland and France among many other countries. This stands as a testament to the increasing popularity and recognition secured by Volvo cars over the years.
