Volvo Cars Sri Lanka, an IWS Holdings company, which recently became the official importer and distributor of Volvo in Sri Lanka, will soon launch a line of exquisite cars that display Volvo’s stylish design transformation and new brand direction.
The new Volvo in-house developed Scalable Product Architecture (SPA)and engine program are the enablers for a stronger emotional expression of the Volvo brand, both when it comes to the exterior design and a new approach to the interior, user interface and connectivity. Volvo’s focus on safety has moved from offering protection in worst-case scenarios to creating features that support the driver and enhance the user experience. Volvo Cars’ approach is to create human-centric features that actually make today’s hectic life easier for the user.
Volvo cars, has won more than 130 international awards during the year 2015 and 2016 for the sophisticated new look of the Volvo range, its world-leading innovation and engineering excellence. The all new Volvo XC90 in particular proved to be a strong competitor in the global automotive market when the car model bagged a staggering 67 accolades in 2015 and 55 accolades in 2016.
Volvo has received immense global recognition and accolades from over 24 countries in the past two years including Germany, USA, Sweden, Singapore, China, Canada, Australia, South Africa, India, Finland, France and many more. This stands testament to the increasing popularity and recognition secured by Volvo cars over the years.
Some of the many internationally renowned awards secured by Volvo most recently this year are prestigious accolades for Car of the Year, Safest New SUV, All-Wheel Drive Car of the Year, Best Midsize Premium SUV, Luxury Utility Vehicle of the Year, Top Pick for Parents, Top Safety Pick 2016, Best 2-litre SUV, Best Human Machine Interface, Utility Vehicle of the Year Award among a string of other titles in numerous awards categories.
