Würth Lanka Ltd., a wholly owned subsidiary of the prestigious Würth AG Group Germany, was recently rated as an ‘Excellent’ company in terms of 12 Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) at the Würth Group Annual Commitment Conference held in Germany in November 2014. Würth Lanka was ranked amongst the best 14 companies amongst Würth AG’s 422 fully-owned subsidiaries. This was officially announced to the jubilant Würth Lanka staff in January 2015 by the Deputy Chairman of the Würth Group Peter Zurn at the gala function along with the Asia Pacific Strategy Board Meeting held at Jetwing Blue in Wadduwa. All companies in the Würth Group – currently numbering 422 – in 82 countries are assessed and evaluated annually based on their achievement of 12 KPIs including growth, staff turnover, profitability, ROI, and productivity. Each subsidiary is then ranked on the basis of their achievement of the overall KPIs. “We are proud and happy that Würth Lanka’s excellent performance has been recognized and rewarded by the Würth Group at the annual awards ceremony held in Germany,” said Rohan Amirthiah, Managing Director, Würth Lanka Ltd. and member of the Würth Group’s Asia Pacific Strategy Board. “This award, ranking and recognition is a true appreciation of our efforts as a team to provide the best possible service to our customers. I would like to take this opportunity to thank the Würth Lanka team for their high level of commitment and excellent performance in fulfilling the needs our discerning customers,” he added. As the evaluation and assessment of Würth AG subsidiaries is an ongoing and annual exercise, it would indeed be a challenge to maintain and/or improve the KPIs to be recognised for performance excellence in the year ahead. “We would like to extend our heartfelt appreciation to our customers who truly valued and trusted the Würth Lanka’s excellent service levels without whom we could not have achieved this significant milestone in our journey of excellence which began just over 16 years ago,” he continued. Würth Lanka Ltd. is a fully-owned subsidiary of Würth International, AG and belongs to Adolf Würth GmbH, Germany – the parent company of the Würth Group. Würth is a Euro 9 billion company and one of the largest international trading companies with more than 400 subsidiaries in 83 countries. With over 65,000 employees worldwide, Würth has the largest direct sales force in order to be closer to its customers.
