12 more COVID-19 fatalities confirmed

Health officials confirmed 12 more COVID-19 fatalities on Tuesday, raising the country’s death toll to 15,243.

The fatalities confirmed on Tuesday include 10 persons over 60 years and two persons between 30 and 59 years. Zero COVID-19 fatalities were confirmed from the under-30 age group on Tuesday.

The Epidemiology Unit states that 76.27% of the total COVID-19 fatalities are over 60 years, 22.53% are between 30 and 59 years, and 1.19% are below 30 years.

Of the total COVID-19 fatalities, 8,556 are male and 6,687 are female.

Seven COVID-19 fatalities confirmed on Tuesday were female and five were male.
