COVID-19 vaccines were administered to 14,041 persons on Tuesday as the country’s COVID-19 immunisation program continues to administer vaccinations to persons over 12 years.
According to the Epidemiology Unit, 16,995,787 persons have received the first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine and 14,387,077 persons have received the second vaccine dose.
The third dose has been administered to 7,719,703 persons. This includes 7,629 persons vaccinated on Tuesday. The Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine is being administered as the booster dose.
The first dose of Pfizer was administered to 1,384 persons on Tuesday and the second dose was administered to 4,273 persons. In total, the first dose of Pfizer has been administered to 2,504,888 persons and the second dose has been administered to 855,149 persons.
On Tuesday, 113 persons received the first dose of Sinopharm, raising the total number of persons to have received the first dose of the vaccine to 12,047,357. The second dose of Sinopharm has been administered to 11,170,162 persons. This includes 642 persons vaccinated on Tuesday.
The first dose of AstraZeneca has been administered to 1,479,631 persons and the second dose has been administered to 1,418,593 persons.
A total of 804,801 persons have received the first dose of Moderna and 787,361 persons have received the second dose of the vaccine.
The Epidemiology Unit states that 159,110 persons have received the first dose of Sputnik V and 155,812 persons have received the second dose of the vaccine.
