Sri Lanka’s COVID-19 death toll rose to 15,299 after health officials confirmed 15 COVID-19 fatalities on Saturday.
According to the Department of Government Information, nine COVID-19 fatalities confirmed on Saturday were over 60 years, five were between 30 and 59 years, and one was below 30 years.
Epidemiology Unit data shows that 76.27% of the total COVID-19 deaths confirmed in the country are over 60 years, 22.53% are between 30 and 59 years, and 1.2% are below 30 years.
Nine COVID-19 fatalities confirmed on Saturday were male and six were female. Of the country’s COVID-19 death toll, 8,595 are male and 6,704 are female.
