Sri Lanka’s COVID-19 death toll rose to 13,806 after health officials confirmed 15 more fatalities on Wednesday.
Eight fatalities confirmed on Wednesday were male and seven were female. The Epidemiology Unit states that 7,709 of the total fatalities are male and 6,097 are female.
Twelve deaths confirmed on Wednesday were over 60 years and three were between 30 and 59 years. Zero deaths were confirmed from the under-30 age group.
According to the Epidemiology Unit, 76.46% of the total fatalities are from the over-60 age group, 22.36% of the fatalities are from the 30 to 59 age group, and 1.18% of the fatalities are from the under-30 age group.
