Health officials confirmed 16 COVID-19 fatalities on Thursday and the country’s COVID-19 death toll has risen to 15,099.
The COVID-19 fatalities confirmed on Thursday include 12 persons over 60 years and four persons between 30 and 59 years. Zero COVID-19 deaths were confirmed from the under-30 age group.
The Epidemiology Unit states that 76.31% of the total COVID-19 fatalities are over 60 years, 22.5% are between 30 and 59 years, and 1.19% are below 30 years.
Of the total COVID-19 fatalities, 8,476 are male and 6,623 are female.
Eight COVID-19 fatalities confirmed on Thursday were male and eight were female.
