18 COVID-19 fatalities confirmed on Saturday

Sri Lanka’s COVID-19 death toll rose to 13,611 with health officials confirming 18 COVID-19 fatalities on Saturday.

The COVID-19 deaths confirmed on Saturday include 12 persons over the age of 60, five persons from the 30 to 59 age group, and one person below the age of 30. According to the Epidemiology Unit, 76.53% of the COVID-19 fatalities are over the age of 60, 22.31% of the fatalities are from the 30 to 59 age group, and 1.16% of the fatalities are from the under-30 age group.

Epidemiology Unit data shows that 7,609 fatalities are male and 6,002 fatalities are female. Of the COVID-19 deaths confirmed on Saturday, 10 were male and eight were female.
