Health officials confirmed 18 more COVID-19 fatalities on Wednesday, raising the country’s death toll to 14,962.
The fatalities confirmed on Wednesday include 12 persons over 60 years and six persons between 30 and 59 years. Zero COVID-19 deaths were confirmed from the under-30 age group on Wednesday.
According to the Epidemiology Unit, 76.43% of the total COVID-19 fatalities are over 60 years, 22.40% of the fatalities are between 30 and 59 years, and 1.18% of the fatalities are below 30 years.
Of the COVID-19 fatalities confirmed to date, 8,386 are male and 6,576 are female.
Nine COVID-19 fatalities confirmed on Wednesday were male and nine were female.
