Health officials confirmed 19 COVID-19 fatalities on Tuesday, raising the country’s COVID-19 death toll to 15,492.
The COVID-19 fatalities confirmed on Tuesday include 17 persons over 60 years and two persons between 30 and 59 years. Zero COVID-19 deaths were confirmed from the under-30 age group on Tuesday.
The Epidemiology Unit states that 76.19% of the total COVID-19 fatalities are over 60 years, 22.56% of the fatalities are between 30 and 59 years, and 1.25% of the fatalities are below 30 years.
Of the total COVID-19 deaths, 8,708 are male and 6,784 are female.
Fourteen COVID-19 fatalities confirmed on Tuesday were male and five were female.
