20 more COVID-19 fatalities confirmed

Sri Lanka’s COVID-19 death toll rose to 15,420 after health officials confirmed 20 more fatalities on Saturday.

Twelve fatalities confirmed on Saturday were over 60 years, five were between 30 and 59 years, and three were below 30 years. According to the Epidemiology Unit, 76.23% of the total deaths are from the over-60 age group, 22.55% are between 30 and 59 years, and 1.22% are from the under-30 age group.

Of the total deaths, 8,668 are male and 6,752 are female. Thirteen COVID-19 fatalities confirmed on Saturday were male and seven were female.
