Health officials confirmed 21 COVID-19 fatalities on Wednesday, raising the country’s COVID-19 death toll to 14,698.
The COVID-19 deaths confirmed on Wednesday include 14 persons over 60 years and seven persons between 30 and 59 years. Zero COVID-19 deaths were confirmed from the under-30 age group.
According to the Epidemiology Unit, 76.48% of the total COVID-19 patients are over 60 years, 22.35% of the fatalities are between 30 and 59 years, and 1.17% of the fatalities are below 30 years.
Of the total fatalities, 8,238 are male and 6,460 are female.
Twelve COVID-19 fatalities confirmed on Wednesday were male and nine were female.
