214 COVID-19 fatalities raise death toll to 8,371

Health officials confirmed 214 COVID-19 deaths on Thursday, the highest confirmed in a day, raising the country’s COVID-19 death toll to 8,371.

This is the second consecutive day where daily COVID-19 fatalities have exceeded 200.

The COVID-19 deaths confirmed on Thursday include 151 persons over the age of 60, 58 persons between ages 30 and 59, and five persons below the age of 30.

The Epidemiology Unit states that 75.8% of the total fatalities are over the age of 60, 23.22% are between ages 30 and 59, and 0.98% are below the age of 30.

According to the Department of Government Information, 120 deaths confirmed on Thursday are male and 94 are female. Of the total fatalities, 4,794 are male and 3,577 are female.
