Health officials confirmed 22 COVID-19 fatalities on Wednesday, raising the country’s COVID-19 death toll to 14,555.
Sixteen COVID-19 fatalities confirmed on Wednesday were over 60 years and six fatalities were between 30 and 59 years. Zero COVID-19 fatalities were confirmed from the under-30 age group on Wednesday.
The Epidemiology Unit states that 76.52% of the total COVID-19 fatalities are over 60 years, 22.32% of the fatalities are between 30 and 59 years, and 1.16% of the fatalities are below 30 years.
Of the total COVID-19 fatalities, 8,154 are male and 6,401 are female. Thirteen COVID-19 fatalities confirmed on Wednesday were male and nine fatalities were female.
