23 COVID-19 fatalities confirmed

Health officials confirmed 23 COVID-19 fatalities on Wednesday, raising the country’s COVID-19 death toll to 15,515.

The COVID-19 fatalities confirmed on Wednesday include 19 persons over 60 years and four persons between 30 and 59 years. Zero COVID-19 fatalities were confirmed from the under-30 age group on Wednesday.

According to the Epidemiology Unit, 76.21% of the total COVID-19 deaths are over 60 years, 22.55% of the deaths are between 30 and 59 years, and 1.25% of the deaths are below 30 years.

12 COVID-19 fatalities confirmed on Wednesday were male and 11 were female. Of the total COVID-19 deaths, 8,720 are male and 6,795 are female.
