23 COVID-19 fatalities confirmed

Sri Lanka’s COVID-19 death toll rose to 15,595 with health officials confirming 23 COVID-19 fatalities on Saturday.

12 COVID-19 fatalities confirmed on Saturday were female and 11 were male. Of the total COVID-19 deaths, 8,768 are male and 6,827 are female.

18 COVID-19 fatalities confirmed on Saturday were over 60 years, four were between 30 and 59 years, and one was below 30 years. According to the Epidemiology Unit, 76.23% of the total COVID-19 deaths are over 60 years, 22.51% are between 30 and 59 years, and 1.25% are below 30 years.
