23 COVID-19 fatalities confirmed

Health officials confirmed 23 COVID-19 fatalities on Tuesday, raising the country’s COVID-19 death toll to 16,267.

16 COVID-19 fatalities confirmed on Tuesday were over 60 years, six fatalities were between 30 and 59 years, and one fatality was below 30 years.

According to the Epidemiology Unit, the majority of COVID-19 fatalities are from the over-60 age group, which accounts for 76.23% of the total COVID-19 deaths. 

The 30 to 59 age group accounts for 22.46% of the total COVID-19 deaths and the under-30 age group accounts for 1.31% of the total COVID-19 deaths.

15 COVID-19 fatalities confirmed on Tuesday were male and eight were female. Of the total COVID-19 deaths, 9,174 are male and 7,093 are female.
