24 COVID-19 deaths confirmed

Sri Lanka’s COVID-19 death toll rose to 16,190 following the confirmation of 24 COVID-19 fatalities on Saturday.

20 COVID-19 fatalities confirmed on Saturday were over 60 years and four fatalities were between 30 and 59 years. Zero COVID-19 deaths were confirmed from the under-30 age group on Saturday.

According to the Epidemiology Unit, 76.21% of the total COVID-19 deaths are over 60 years, 22.49% of the deaths are between 30 and 59 years, and 1.3% of the deaths are below 30 years.

Of the total COVID-19 deaths, 9,132 are male and 7,058 are female.

15 COVID-19 fatalities confirmed on Saturday were male and nine were female.
