26 COVID-19 fatalities confirmed

Sri Lanka’s COVID-19 death toll rose to 15,621 with health officials confirming 26 COVID-19 fatalities on Sunday.

The COVID-19 fatalities confirmed on Sunday include 18 persons over 60 years, six persons between 30 and 59 years, and two persons below 30 years.

According to the Epidemiology Unit, 76.24% of the total COVID-19 deaths are over 60 years, 22.51% are between 30 and 59 years, and 1.26% are below 30 years.

17 COVID-19 fatalities confirmed on Sunday were male and nine were female. Of the total COVID-19 deaths, 8,785 are male and 6,836 are female.
