Health authorities yesterday confirmed 26 persons had succumbed to COVID-19 on Thursday, raising the country’s death toll to 14,258.
As per the Department of Government Information, 26 fatalities confirmed on Thursday include 22 persons over 60 years of age and three persons between 30 and 59 years, whilst one person below 30 years.
Epidemiology Unit data shows of the total COVID-19 fatalities, 7,963 of the victims are male and 6,269 fatalities are female. It also said that 76.53% of the total fatalities were over the age of 60, 22.29% aged between 30 and 59 years, and 1.18% below the age of 30.
