31 COVID-19 fatalities confirmed

Health officials confirmed 31 COVID-19 fatalities on Wednesday, raising the country’s COVID-19 death toll to 15,723.

26 COVID-19 fatalities confirmed on Wednesday were over 60 years and five fatalities were between 30 and 59 years. Zero COVID-19 deaths were confirmed from the under-30 age group on Wednesday.

The Epidemiology Unit states that 76.22% of the total COVID-19 deaths are over 60 years, 22.49% are between 30 and 59 years, and 1.29% are below 30 years.

Of the total COVID-19 deaths, 8,850 are male and 6,873 are female. Sixteen COVID-19 fatalities confirmed on Wednesday were male and 15 fatalities were female.
