33 projects to develop roads in Jaffna MC

Minister of Economic Development Basil Rajapaksa on Wednesday launched 33 development projects within the Jaffna Municipal Council limits. As the first project the Minister inaugurated the carpeting of Kovil Street in the Nallur Divisional Secretariat division. All projects implemented in the resettled areas are combined three in one projects that include road development, water supply and rural power supply scheme.

On Wednesday the Minister inaugurated three such projects. One is the carpeting of Navalar and Temple roads at Kailasapillayar Kovilady, inauguration of a rural town development project to provide water, electricity and roadways for more than 485 families who have been resettled in Ariyalai South West.
