COVID-19 vaccines were administered to 34,104 persons on Tuesday with 64.42% of the country’s population now having received the first two doses of a COVID-19 vaccine.
Our World in Data states that 74.4% of the population has received the first dose. As of 3 December, 28.2% of the population over 20 years had received the booster dose.
The booster dose was administered to 32,182 persons on Tuesday.
On Tuesday, 363 persons received the first dose of Sinopharm and 971 persons received the second dose. In total, 11,975,463 persons have received the first dose of Sinopharm and 11,008,497 persons have received the second dose.
The first dose of Pfizer has been administered to 1,576,720 persons and the second dose has been administered to 480,581 persons. On Tuesday, 306 persons received the first dose of Pfizer and 282 persons received the second dose of the vaccine.
The first dose of AstraZeneca has been administered to 1,479,631 persons and the second dose has been administered to 1,418,593 persons.
According to the Epidemiology Unit, 804,801 persons have received the first dose of Moderna and 787,361 persons have received the second dose of the vaccine.
The first dose of Sputnik V has been administered to 159,110 persons and 155,812 persons have received the second dose of the vaccine.
The first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine has been administered to a total of 15,995,725 persons and the second dose has been administered to 13,850,844 persons.
The booster dose has been administered to 4,148,811 persons.
“We request all persons who have not yet received the booster dose to get it as soon as possible. There is no shortage of vaccines,” Health Services Director General Dr. Asela Gunawardena said, adding that the Pfizer vaccine is being administered as the booster.
