The Police Headquarters yesterday announced that 34 Police officers including three SSPs, three SPs, 21 ASPs and seven OICs were transferred with immediate effect by the Police Chief based on service requirements.
The Police revealed that these officers have been transferred by the Police Chief based on service requirements with the approval of Secretary to the Public Security, Christian Religious Affairs and Disaster Management Ministry.
According to media reports, SSP Sisira Kumara in charge of the Tangalle Police Division has been transferred to the Monaragala Police Division, while SSP C.E. Wedasinghe in charge of the Kelaniya Police Division has been deployed to the DIG office of the Northern Province.
