COVID-19 vaccines were administered to 42,949 persons on Sunday and 75% of the country’s population has received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine.
According to Our World in Data, Sri Lanka’s first dose coverage is 75.36% of the total population and second dose coverage is 64.53% of the population.
Among those over the age of 20 years, 94.8% have received the first two doses and 32.5% have received the booster dose.
The Epidemiology Unit states that 16,206,725 persons have received the first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, 13,873,104 persons have received the second dose and 4,743,581 persons have received the booster dose.
The booster dose was administered to 38,410 persons on Sunday.
The first dose of Pfizer was administered to 3,033 persons on Sunday and the second dose was administered to 117 persons. In total, 1,779,516 persons have received the first dose of Pfizer and 484,706 persons have received the second dose of the vaccine.
On Sunday, 528 persons received the first dose of Sinopharm, and 861 persons received the second dose of the vaccine. The first dose of Sinopharm has been administered to a total of 11,983,667 persons and the second dose has been administered to 11,026,632 persons.
The first dose of AstraZeneca has been administered to 1,479,631 persons and 1,418,593 persons have received the second dose of the vaccine.
The Epidemiology Unit states that 804,801 persons have received the first dose of Moderna, and 787,361 persons have received the second dose of the vaccine.
The first dose of Sputnik V has been administered to 159,110 persons and the second dose has been administered to 155,812 persons.
