COVID-19 vaccines were administered to 43,298 persons on Saturday and Sri Lanka’s first dose coverage has risen to 76.3% of the total population.
According to Our World in Data, the second dose of a COVID-19 vaccine has been administered to 64.57% of the population.
The Epidemiology Unit states that 16,420,801 persons have received the first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine and 13,883,259 persons have received the second dose.
The booster dose has been administered to 4,916,430 persons. This includes 27,919 persons vaccinated on Saturday.
The first dose of Pfizer was administered to 12,571 persons on Saturday and 221 persons have received the second dose. In total, the first dose of Pfizer has been administered to 1,990,283 persons and the second dose has been administered to 487,730 persons.
On Saturday, 792 persons received the first dose of Sinopharm and 1,795 persons received the second dose of the vaccine. The first dose of Sinopharm has been administered to a total of 11,986,976 persons and the second dose has been administered to 11,033,763 persons.
The first dose of AstraZeneca has been administered to 1,479,631 persons and the second dose has been administered to 1,418,593 persons.
The Epidemiology Unit states that 804,801 persons have received the first dose of Moderna and 787,361 persons have received the second dose.
The first dose of Sputnik V has been administered to 159,110 persons and the second dose has been administered to 155,812 persons.
