Health officials confirmed 44 COVID-19 fatalities on Wednesday, raising the country’s COVID-19 death toll to 13,229.
The deaths confirmed on Wednesday include 39 persons over 60 years, four persons between 30 and 59 years, and one person below 30 years. The Epidemiology Unit states that 76.48% of the total fatalities are from the over-60 age group, 22.36% are from the 30 to 59 age group, and 1.16% are from the under-30 age group.
The Epidemiology Unit adds that 7,393 fatalities are male and 5,836 are female. 25 COVID-19 fatalities confirmed on Wednesday were male and 19 were female.
