COVID-19 vaccines were administered to 45,007 persons on Saturday, raising the total number of persons to receive both doses of a COVID-19 vaccine to 11,853,825.
The first dose of a vaccine has been administered to 14,570,141 persons and Our World in Data states that 54.99% of Sri Lanka’s total population has received both doses of a COVID-19 vaccine.
Persons vaccinated on Saturday include 11,617 persons who received the first dose of Sinopharm and 27,680 persons who received the second dose of Sinopharm. In total, the first dose of the vaccine has been administered to 11,671,658 persons, while the second dose of the vaccine has been administered to 9,377,448 persons.
The first dose of AstraZeneca has been administered to 1,472,347 persons, of which 1,268,321 persons have received the second dose as well. On Saturday, 856 persons received the first dose of AstraZeneca and 3,239 persons received the second dose of AstraZeneca.
The first dose of Pfizer was administered to 1,128 persons on Saturday and the second dose was administered to 118 persons. A total of 466,045 persons have received the first dose of Pfizer and 291,916 persons have received the second dose of the vaccine.
The first dose of Moderna has been administered to 800,996 persons, of which 760,588 persons have received the second dose as well. On Saturday, 190 persons received the second dose of Moderna.
The second dose of Sputnik V was administered to 179 persons on Saturday, raising the number of persons to receive the second dose of the vaccine to 155,552. The first dose of Sputnik V has been administered to 159,095 persons.
