50 Lankans among foreigners evacuating Kabul

Around 50 Sri Lankans working in the Afghan capital Kabul are making arrangements to leave the country with the Taliban set to take it over.

Most of them are Sri Lankans working for the United Nations and other organisations in Afghanistan, the Foreign Ministry sources said. There are no officials at the Sri Lankan Embassy in Kabul at present, sources added.
