Health authorities yesterday confirmed 67 COVID-19 related deaths, the highest number confirmed in a single day.
A total of 1,910 COVID-19 deaths have been confirmed in the island to date, with the deaths confirmed yesterday having occurred between 17 May and 8 June.
According to the Department of Government Information, 19 deaths took place in May and 48 deaths took place in June.
While 56 persons died while under medical care at treatment centres, six died at home and five died during admission to hospital. Forty-three were male and 24 were female, the Department of Government Information added.
