A.H.M. Fowzie expelled from SLFP

The General Secretary said the decision was taken at the SLFP Central Committee meeting held on 21 November at party headquarters.

The progress of the party at the just concluded Presidential Election and the party’s future course of action were also discussed at the meeting, Jayasekara said.

SLFP spokesman MP Weerakumara Dissanayake told the media that the SLFP decided to extend its fullest support to the President Gotabaya Rajapaksa to run the Government.

The Central Committee of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) has unanimously decided to contest the next General Election also with the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP).
