The Association of Accounting Technicians of Sri Lanka (AAT Sri Lanka) has extended its helping hands to the victims of the recent bomb attacks in some of the churches in our country.
The Governing Council of AAT Sri Lanka has offered financial aid dedicating the entire budget allocated for their New Year ceremony which was scheduled for 27 April. Further, AAT Sri Lanka has postponed the annual certificate awarding ceremony to students islandwide. The donation was handed over to the Archbishop of Colombo Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith by AAT Sri Lanka President Jazri Magdon Ismail, in association with CEO Tishanga Kumarasinghe, Secretary Sunil Wanigabadu and Council Member Somasiri Munaweera who participated in this occasion.
Archbishop Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith stated the importance of helping the victims of the bomb attacks on humanitarian grounds as they have suffered economically and mentally. Appreciating the humane gesture of AAT Sri Lanka, he further mentioned that all the funds collected for this relief project would be directly monitored under his supervision and distribution will be done for the exact requirements of the affected churches and families.
The President and the members of the council representing AAT Sri Lanka on this occasion observed two minutes silence in memory of the deceased as a mark of respect. All others present on this occasion also participated.
