ACJU discusses MMDA with Justice Minister

The All Ceylon Jamiyyathul Ulama (ACJU) on Tuesday held a discussion with Justice Minister M.U.M. Ali Sabri PC, with regard to the proposed amendments to the MMDA and the ACJU’s religious opinion on this subject.

The discussion via Zoom was attended by ACJU Executive Committee members and those of the Fatwa Committee.

“Matters related to the proposed amendments of MMDA and the recent decisions taken by the Cabinet were discussed in this meeting. Several religious matters and practical implementation issues were also discussed in detail with the Justice Minister,” a statement from ACJU said. 

“We pray Almighty Allah to bless our efforts and guide the Minister and those who have authority on our affairs to make right decisions which will bring goodness to the country.”
