AG requests new bench of judges for Easter Sunday Attack trial

The Attorney General’s Department has requested the appointment of a new bench of judges for the trial of the Easter Sunday attacks.

The Attorney General’s Department said that the court will issue a decision on this matter promptly. The Attorney General’s Department also highlighted that the request for a new bench was made primarily due to the release of the defendants without a trial.
