AG’s Dept. concludes action in over 13,000 criminal cases in 10 months

• Over 8,300 indictments too forwarded to HC
• Many child abuse cases among these 

The Attorney General’s Department has concluded action in connection with 13,283 criminal cases within the first 10 months of this year, an official of the Department said.

The AG has also forwarded 8,319 indictments to the High Courts during this time period, the official said.

She said these included many chid abuses cases that have been pending for many years. This is an all-time record for the Department in connection with concluding cases.
