Agriculture Ministry to import 25,000 tons urea for Maha Season

Agriculture Minister Mahinda Amaraweera said that the tender to import 25,000 tons of urea required for the Maha cultivation season will be submitted to the Cabinet of Ministers today.

The fertiliser stock is set to be imported under World Bank assistance.

Under the same assistance, the Ministry of Agriculture stated that it has planned to import 45,000 tons of potassium as well.
