Customs Officers at the Bandaranaike International Airport yesterday arrested a Lankan working for a foreign airline with jewellery worth Rs.21 million which was concealed in his bags. According to Customs, the suspect had arrived in a flight from Doha, Qatar.There were 423 gold chains weighing a total of four kilograms and 43 grams. A Customs official said that the suspect had been detained for further questioning.
