The All Ceylon Jamiyyathul Ulama (ACJU) has issued a statement condoling the victims of the Australian bushfire and extensive damage caused.

The following is the ACJU’s full statement.

The world community is very worried and saddened by the bushfire which has been widely affecting cities and towns all around Australia. Millions of acres of land have been hitherto scorched, together with many lives already lost. Over 1500 business establishments and houses were destroyed, millions of wild animals and cattle killed, the massive smoke of fire broken out affecting the normal lives of many people. Even though this bushfire has damaged the normalcy of the life of the people there, nowadays there is some kind relief due to the start of drizzling and mild rain.

We all earnestly pray Allah to remove this disastrous scenario in Australia as early as possible; to control the bushfire; for more and more rain to fall; for the normal life of people in Australia to immediately return. This is our expectation and earnest prayer.

All Ceylon Jamiyyathul Ulama earnestly requests all concerned to pray to God to save the lives there and protect the people from this catastrophe and pave the way to them to return to their normal lives.
