Ambassador Thassim calls on Governor of Riyadh

Ambassador of Sri Lanka to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Azmi Thassim paid a courtesy call on the Governor of Riyadh, Prince Faisal Bin Bandar Bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, at his office in Riyadh, on 11 October. 

At this cordial meeting, the Governor and the Ambassador discussed a number of matters pertaining to the Sri Lankan expatriate community in Riyadh area. The Governor expressed his appreciation regarding the Sri Lankan expatriates in Saudi Arabia, calling them as one of the best and well-disciplined communities. The discussion also focused on areas such as visa issues and welfare facilities extended to the Sri Lankan expatriate community by the Government of Saudi Arabia. 

Ambassador Thassim took this opportunity to extend an invitation to the Governor to attend Sri Lanka National Day celebrations in Riyadh to be held in February 2019, as the Guest of Honour.

The Ambassador was accompanied by Minister Counsellor Madhuka Wickramarachchi and Desk Officer/Bilateral Affairs of the Mission A.L.M. Jabeer.
