Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Lebanon presents credentials

Ambassador-designate of Sri Lanka to Lebanon Kapila Jayaweera presented credentials to President of the Republic of Lebanon (General) Joseph Aoun on 5 February.

Following the presentation of credentials, President Aoun admired the deep understanding and friendship between Sri Lanka and Lebanon and ensured his commitment to elevate the bilateral relationship for the benefit of the two countries. Ambassador Jayaweera conveyed greetings of President Anura Kumara Dissanayake to the President of Lebanon, and ensured to strengthen the bilateral relations.

First Secretary at the Embassy of Sri Lanka in Beirut Sanath Balasooriya and Third Secretary Priyangika Dissanayake accompanied Ambassador Kapila Jayaweera to the ceremony.
