Army Commander Silva calls on Pakistan President

Army Commander and Chief of Defence Staff General L. H. S. C. Silva WWV, RWP, RSP, VSV, USP yesterday called on Pakistan President Dr. Arif Alvi during a visit to Pakistan on the invitation of Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa.

During the meeting matters of mutual interest, regional security issues with particular reference to enhanced military cooperation were discussed. The visiting dignitary acknowledged Pakistan’s continuous efforts for peace and stability in the region and pledged to further enhance bilateral relations between both countries.

Earlier, upon arrival at the GHQ, the visiting dignitary laid a floral wreath at Yadgar-e-Shuhada. A smartly turned out contingent of the Pakistan Army presented the Guard of Honour to the visiting dignitary.
