The Cabinet of Ministers at their meeting on Monday approved the signing of a proposed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Bandaranaike International Diplomatic Training Institute (BIDTI) and the Foreign Service Institute of the Republic of the Philippines.
The move aims to provide facilitation for the conducting of education, research and training programs in the diplomatic field.
It also expects the exchange of expertise among the foreignservice officers with the objective of developing and strengthening the friendship and cooperation between the two countries.
The proposal presented by Foreign Affairs, Foreign Employment Minister Vijitha Herath was approved by the Cabinet of Ministers.
