CEB submits quarterly electricity tariff revisions for July: Minister

Power and Energy Minister Kanchana Wijesekera yesterday announced that in line with the Government’s policy to revise electricity tariffs quarterly, the Ceylon Electricity Board (CEB) has submitted its latest proposal to the Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL).

Taking to ‘X’ he noted that the proposal, submitted on Friday, outlines tariff revisions for July.

Minister Wijesekera highlighted the proposed reductions in energy charges across several sectors, including domestic, religious, general purpose and Government buildings. 

The proposal aims to provide further reductions in energy charges for these key sectors.

“The PUCSL will determine the final tariffs after evaluation of the proposal and the public consultation,” he added.
