employers and the introduction of Advance Personal Income Tax (APIT) is a mere change in the nomenclature or whether there is a much larger underlying impact.

In order to unravel the mysteries and solve the dilemmas of personal income tax, The Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) in Sri Lanka will organise a virtual session with KPMG Principal – Tax and Regulatory Suresh R.I. Perera FCMA, CGMA. It is scheduled to be held on 4 May at 5 p.m. under the title ‘Recent Tax Reforms’. The presentation would cover insights to APIT, obligations of the employer and employee, self-assessment, return filing obligations and many other pertinent areas of tax.
