COVID-19 death toll rises to 185

Health authorities yesterday confirmed a COVID-19 death, which brought the total number of deaths to have occurred in the island due to the virus to 185.

According to a statement issued by the Department of Government Information, a 60-year-old man from Agalawatte passed away on 20 December while being admitted to the Pimbura Base Hospital. He died of blood poisoning associated with COVID-19.
