COVID-19 death toll rises to 195

Health authorities yesterday confirmed that a COVID-19 patient from Wellampitiya had passed away, bringing the total COVID-19 death toll to 195.

According to the Department of Government Information, the individual was 45-years-old and died on Monday while receiving treatment at the Homagama Base Hospital. The cause of death is cited as COVID pneumonia and complications of a kidney infection. A total of 77 COVID-19 deaths have been reported so far this month and 98 deaths were reported the previous month.
