Cabinet nod to recommence work on 18 partially constructed bridges in H’tota

Cabinet this week gave approval to restart the constructions of 18 bridges in the Hambantota district, which were partially completed.

Approval was granted to transfer the construction work to the Road Development Authority, Cabinet Spokesman Minister Bandula Gunawardena said.

The Southern Province Road Development Authority will supervise the activities.

The Cabinet proposal was presented by Prime Minister Mahinda Rajapaksa in his capacity as the Highways and Road Development Minister.
