Archbishop Malcolm Cardinal Ranjith
The Archbishop of Colombo Cardinal Malcolm Ranjith yesterday said the newly appointed Cabinet of Ministers by the President cannot be accepted.
“The Government has undermined democracy and the move is a mere attempt to deceive the public,” he told journalists yesterday.
The Cardinal said the Government’s actions cannot be condoned in any manner. He also expressed disappointment in President Rajapaksa for disregarding the recent letter issued by the Chief Prelates and instead of appointing a new Cabinet of Ministers.
