China completes donation of 10 m kilos of rice

China has completed the donation of 10 million kg (10,000 metric tons) of rice to Sri Lanka with the last 1,000 MT arriving on Monday. 

The donation will firmly support Sri Lanka’s nutrition drive and help over 1 million students in 7,900 school across the country. The total value of the 10,000 MT of rice is approximately Rs. 4.2 billion.
